Quando

"When" features Giovanni, who has been 'sleeping' for 31 years. On the day that Enrico Berlinguer's funeral was being held in St. John's Square, the pole of a banner fell on his head, giving him a deep coma that lasted so long. Now, however, the world in which the then 18-year-old finds himself has definitely changed. He will need the help of the nun who had been by his side during his hospitalization and a boy suffering from selective mutism. Walter Veltroni brings his novel to the screen, in a film in which he moves with a willingness to mutate some of its narrative elements, but preserving the spirit that formed its writing and especially its main themes.
