Jurassic Park

A mosquito, about twenty million years ago, sucked the blood of a dinosaur and has come down to us fossilized in amber. A scholar who is a bit of an entrepreneur and a bit of a madman manages, from that tiny amount of blood, to derive DNA and essentially reconstruct dinosaurs in the laboratory. On an island he builds Jurassic Park to the delight of the whole world, but he needs the endorsement of a scientist who is found. Animals in man's intentions should be controllable, but they become aggressive and uncontrollable. At the expense is the small group consisting of the scientist, his wife, another scholar, and the park owner's two grandchildren. The themes of Michael Crichton, author of the novel, are solemn and fascinating, and Spielberg takes up the moral: let's leave nature as it is; it has already endured too much abuse and would hate to share the exclusivity of life with laboratories.
