Rocky IV

Apollo Creed, Rocky's former rival and great friend, challenges the giant Soviet boxer Ivan Drago to an unequal match, but dies under the opponent's terrible blows. Rocky then decides to honor his friend's memory by traveling to Moscow and fighting the terrible opponent in turn. The two train in secret: Drago according to the most modern findings of bio-engineering, Rocky on the other hand splitting wood and running through the snow. A film symbolic of Reaganism and together of the thaw, Rocky IV took epic and exaggeration to levels never before thought of in the saga of the Philadelphia boxer, but also in the cinematic narrative of those 1980s. It remains an absolute cult in symbolism and importance in popular storytelling.
