The Last Showgirl

A touching and sorrowful portrait of Shelly Gardner (Pamela Anderson), former queen of the now-declining Las Vegas variety show, forced to deal with the end of the show that marked her life: Le Razzle Dazzle. With the arrival of a circus in place of the historic show, Shelly finds himself without work, without prospects and with a past of questionable choices behind him, the most painful of which is to have entrusted his daughter Hannah to a family in Tucson. Hannah now rejects her and no longer calls her "mom", fueling in the film the conflict between ambition and motherhood, glory and abandonment.
In a glittering world only in appearance, Shelly wanders between equally marked female faces: Annette (Jamie Lee Curtis), disillusioned waitress, and a young soubrette who sees in her a surrogate maternal figure. The only important man in the narrative is Eddie (Dave Bautista), a melancholy and sensitive manager who offers a tender look into a cruel universe.
