Womeness

WOMENESS, the third documentary film written and directed by actress and director Yvonne Sciò, tells the audacity of five great women of our time. From the Italian writer Dacia Maraini to Emma Bonino, a politician and civil rights activist; From Sussan Deyhim, an Iranian composer and singer in exile, to Tomaso Binga, a visual artist who uses her body to challenge male power, Setsuko Klossowska de Rola, Japanese painter and sculptor, wife of the painter Balthus. At the heart of the story, the woman and her body, catalyst of events, bring as a gift to their sisters and to the history of our time, their immortal principles. Each of them, with different voices and hands, has asserted its own identity in the world, overcoming, for ever, the space-time coordinates and thus affirming, that strength of being that only women can have.
