The Apprentice

The Apprentice, directed by Ali Abbasi and written by journalist Gabriel Sherman, tells of the rise of a young Donald Trump in New York in the 1970s, long before politics, when he was just an ambitious 20-year-old determined to become the king of real estate. His meeting with Roy Cohn, notorious lawyer known for the Rosenberg trial and for his role in McCarthyism, is the turning point. Cohn, Cynical and ruthless, sees in Trump an ideal student to shape according to his rules of power: never apologize, always deny, attack first.
