Mission Impossible

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is the eighth and final chapter in the action-spy saga directed by Christopher McQuarrie. Tom Cruise returns as Agent Ethan Hunt, on a high-risk mission to stop "The Entity", an autonomous artificial intelligence that threatens global security. The film follows directly from the events of Dead Reckoning Part One (2023), with Hunt facing the consequences of his past choices. 
Alongside Cruise, the cast includes Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Angela Bassett and Henry Czerny. The plot revolves around Hunt’s fight against Gabriel (played by Esai Morales), an enemy from the past who allies with The Entity, putting the lives of Hunt and his allies at risk. The action sequences, including an epic underwater scene in a Russian submarine, are among the most spectacular in the series. 
The film has been shot in several international locations, including Malta, South Africa and Norway, with an estimated budget of USD 400 million. The soundtrack was composed by Max Aruj and Alfie Godfrey. The film had its world premiere in Tokyo on 5 May 2025 and will be presented out of competition at the Cannes Festival on 14 May 2025. The release in Italian cinemas is scheduled for 22 June 2025. 
Although the title suggests a definitive conclusion, Christopher McQuarrie confirmed that the saga will continue with new narrative developments already in the planning phase. Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning promises to be a thrilling and adrenaline-pumping chapter, offering fans an epic and satisfying ending.
